Revd Canon Mike Cooney
Title: Industrial Chaplain in North Lincolnshire
Chaplain Sector: Industry
While Mike's 'boots on the ground' chaplaincy work is mainly on the Tata Steel site in Scunthorpe, he is tasked with relating to the whole and increasingly diversified economy of North Lincolnshire. He therefore welcomes invitations to explore what chaplaincy has to offer from any organisation in the private, public and voluntary sectors of the economy.
Mr Terry Miller
Title: Chaplain for the Environment and Sustainable Development
Chaplain Sector: Environmental
Terry’s role is to work with churches on their environmental commitments embedded within the worshiping life of the churches, and to interface between churches and the wider community to develop common initiatives. He is assisted by two voluntary chaplains, Fiona Battle engaged specifically in the God’s Acre Project and Lizzie Rushton focussing on church environmental action including the Green Apostles programme.
Revd Canon Alan Robson
Title: Agricultural Chaplain
Chaplain Sector: Agriculture
Alan’s work as Agricultural Chaplain includes pastoral support and advocacy on behalf of those within the farming and rural communities of Lincolnshire who are facing unexpected difficulties. His role also includes networking with people in associated organisations and grappling with some of the difficult issues of the day such as food security.
Revd Canon Andrew Vaughan
Title: Industrial Chaplain and Chaplaincy Director
Chaplain Sector: Industry
Andrew in his role as Chaplaincy Director has the overall responsibility for the day to day support, management and development of chaplaincy within the LCS area and remit. He is also Industrial Chaplain in the Greater Lincoln area.
Revd Mary Vickers
Title: Urban and Industrial Chaplain
Chaplain Sector: Industry
An enthusiast for chaplaincy, Mary moved here in Autumn 2010 to take up this post. She is currently exploring the distinctive contexts and characteristics of economic life in North East Lincolnshire, including the petrochemical and food industries, the ports, the tourist trade, and civic life, as well as undertaking some regular workplace visiting.
Revd Susan Walker
Title: Further Education Chaplaincy Co-ordinator
Chaplain Sector: Education
Susan in her role as Further Education Chaplaincy Co-ordinator for LCS, is committed to increasing the awareness and understanding of faith issues and the development of spiritual, cultural, moral and social agendas within colleges. Chaplaincy is for staff and student of all faiths and none.
